Hachis Parmentier

Ingredients 4 people:

  • 1,5 kg of potatoes
  • 800 grams of minced beef (Also it is a leftover meat Stew)
  • 2 carrots
  • 1 onion
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • parsley (Optional)
  • 1 egg
  • 110 g butter
  • 1 glass white wine
  • 30 cl milk
  • nutmeg
  • sal
  • pepper

Peel the potatoes and boil.

Chop the carrots into very small pieces and put in pan with a little olive oil.
Following are chopped onion and garlic and add to pan.
When the ingredients sudan and onion begins to turn transparent, add the minced meat, sal, pepper, nutmeg and stir-frying is still.

When the meat takes a little color is added to white wine and let reduce, once the alcohol has evaporated remove from heat and reserve.

When the potatoes are tender, remove from heat, drain and add a little butter, milk and mash to a puree well.

Prepare a pan suitable for oven and grease with butter or oil.

Then put a layer of mashed potatoes, is placed above a layer of minced meat and finally another layer of mashed.

It tops sprinkled with grated cheese and gets into the furnace.

The dish is ready when the surface is golden brown to taste.
